So much so that the other USC may want him to replace Kiffin. He is hoping that Dabo will go for the big money so he can offer the OBC the Clemson coaching job. After all he and the OBC are old buddies and go way back. Oh the irony!

My best friend’s, cousin’s, father’s, uncle’s, brother in law’s sister’s son took a poop that looked like a T-Rex. I heard about it as a rumor but never really saw it for myself. I took their word for it.

Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn’t go so far as to call a dog filthy but they’re definitely dirty. But, a dog’s got personality. Personality goes a long way.

Spurrier also said he’s not ok with Clowney calling out other players for not performing. Definately some dissention in the ranks right now. Top to bottom.

I didn’t hear what he said, but personally I like that someone is calling the defense out. If it has to be the best defensive player you have that speaks up, so be it. Clowney certainly in my eyes has not played up to his full potential, but he’s still be a great defensive player regardless of what the haters say.

I hope the defense is insulted and comes to play with something to prove. SC’s defense had a fire in them most games last year. This year, they’ve just been vanilla.

From what I understand, this isn’t the problem:
I like that someone is calling the defense out.

This is:
Clowney certainly in my eyes has not played up to his full potential.

Don’t shoot the messenger. We’ll see how it plays out.

The problem with the SC defense isn’t Clowney, it’s the loss of talent that more than made up for the deficiencies of Ward vs. Johnson. The talent is there, the void in the coaching ability is noticeable.

I applaud the effort.

I can’t believe I read that entire article… Interesting quotes, but the author obviously has an agenda.

My favorite part:

“Spurrier even changed his attitude toward recruiting, while still giving it his own spin (naturally). Now, when he went to scout a recruit, he didn’t waste time watching him lift weights, but instead spent time with the boy’s father. One time, Spurrier spent an entire afternoon drinking beer with a recruit’s father in his living room, both of them shirtless.”

No matter who you pull for, you can’t deny the effect Clowney has on the field. He’s a beast, plain and simple. Nobody really knew that last year and he ate offenses for lunch. If you overcompensate for that beast mode freak of nature and effectively shut him down, the rest of the D needs to step up. ESPN just hyped him up too much, and honestly there was no way to live up to the potential they were trying to give him.
