My niece is visiting from CA. She is a very keen fisherwoman but had never caught a fish.
I cast out for her and she did the rest, we were using fairly light tackle and she did an incredible job playing the fish all the way into the net. Next cast she had a nice black drum, same thing on the next cast. She ended up catching 6 fish. She wants to move here now, but it was a pretty sweet day for a 13 year old, banana split for breakfast, catching big fish, then fried chicken and video games with her new pal.
Good job puttin’ her on her first fish, drterry! I was lucky enough to do the same for my niece last year and can honestly say it was as exciting seeing her land the fish as any fish I’ve ever caught myself. Good stuff, man…

Ye old ice cream store in Mt P. Best banana splits around. great kids working in there as well, they actually took a couple of pics of the banana split they made as they were so proud. I forgot the sense of humor of tennage kids, the young man almost lost it when my niece said she didn’t want nuts to me and i said 'hold the nuts" to the young man making the split
thanks guys, got a kick out of seeing her catch her first fish. My first fish was a 2 inch perch, which im pretty sure my dad put on the hook when i wasn’t looking, so she is of to a good start.
