The last few days have been epic......

I have not spent much time in the yak as of late, but I am sure glad to be back in it. Over the past week the fish have been blowing up just about everything thrown there way. One my first trip ( Thurs. of last week) I caught 13 reds, 6 trout, 3 flounder, and more blues than i could shake a stick at!!! By the way, what is the main difference between a blue runner and a blue fish? I am not sure which spieces i am catching. I also ended up with the most strange catch of the year, a 12 or so inch baracuda.

I went out again on sunday and ended up with only a couple of trout and some blues, but it still was a beautiful day on the water. Then on Monday i headed up shem creek and fished a few hours and ended up with 2 reds, 5 trout, 1 flounder, and a bunch of blues again. The only pictures i have are on my cell and I do not know how to upload, but if someone can tell me how i would love to post a few. Most of the reds and trout were caught using live mullet on a slide sinker set up and the flounder were caught using berkley gulp grubs off a tri swivel and a unweighted hook. I can not wait to get the boat back in the water!!!

The fishing was good; it was the catching that was bad. </font id=“size2”>

Blues and Blue Runners… The difference is that Blue Runners look more like a Jack than Blue Fish… Notice the Pointed Dorsal fin of the Blue Runner compared to the rounded of the Bluefish…

Then look at the dentition… Blue have some NASTY Choppers…

Those who can’t fish, spend too much on seafood!
