I posted a few weeks ago about how much trouble I had taking a rusted leaf spring off my trailer, and why we shouldn’t complain about the cost of paying other folks for repairs.
I repaced the other leaf spring yesterday, and it took about three hours, instead of two days. I had learned all the tricks and had no problems. It’s amazing what a little bit of experience will do for you.
I’m glad I could do this without paying somebody else, but I am thankful that we have such good resources for boat, trailer, and motor repair in Charleston.
This forum is such a good place for those of us who want to take a stab a repairing things on our own. It got me through a water pump replacement last year.
Thanks again everybody!
