Nothing wrong keeping a good mess of fish to eat. I fish freshwater january -may, fish salt water the rest of the year. If it wasn’t for crappie & catfish in my freezer I wouldn’t have many fish to eat. All the reds I have been catching are way over slot & and very few trout that are legal, tons of 12 & 13 inch. Been doing pretty good with the shrimp, hope to catch enough to give to family and put in my freezer til next season.
