Kelvin wanted fish for the freezer, and he got them. Whiting might be small, but they are awesome eating. I’m lucky I didn’t have to clean them.

Did you really need to post this “report” in 3 different forums on this site? By my quick count, you’ve got 21 of 25 posts on the first page of Captains’ Reports and batting 14/25 on the Edisto forum. Your posts get hundreds of views and 90% get ZERO replies because there is nothing to reply to. No body of water, temp, tides, bait just silly narratives. Bob and Jim from Baltimore sure wanted to catch an eagle raytoo bad mom Betty was Lady Luck on this day. I understand you have a business but every single charter? Youve literally taken over several forums. Im sure Im not the only one tired of wading through the caps lock UDC ads to get to reports from both recreational fishermen and guides with something to offer. You are a spamming machine.

I like it. I normally glean a new spot when he posts a pic!
Hobo… If you don’t want to read “Captain’s” Reports. Stay out of the Captain’s Reports board. The reason there are no replies, is because that is a locked forum. It isn’t often that UDC posts in the Inshore Reports area. Plenty of other advice from other anglers and Captains alike.
I’m with Phin on this one too… New spots work for me all day!
My reports are not ads. My clients like to see themselves on Charleston Fishing. You do not have to read my reports.

Capt. Steve…keep posting your reports. I like them and I like to see the enjoyment that your clients get out of catching! As for the whiting…lots of my friends and my wife would love to come home from a fishing trip with that many whiting!!! They get “tired” of catching big reds and small trout/flounder that they can’t keep!! They want fish to eat!!
Keep posting Cpt. Steve, I fish Edisto frequently and personally enjoy reading them. I wish other inshore captains would use the inshore charter forum also, though. Not enough info about other guide services on this forum and I know there are plenty of them out there.
I like your reports, keep them coming. I thought that’s what a fishin’ forum was for

You’re right on, Captain Larry. I enjoy UDC’s posts and appreciate his dedication.
Hobo, it seems pretty obvious: You choose the posts you read or don’t read. More importantly, don’t bash a guy (who’s trying to make a living, by the way) for posting a FISHING REPORT.
“I’m not a hundred percent in love with your tone right now…”
No, they were not caught in a castnet. Everyone of them was reeled in. We used small pieces of cut fresh fish for bait.

Haven’t had fried whiting since before my Dad passed. I recall as a kid he and I going to Breach Inlet in the fall and loading the cooler. Then a big fish fry with lots of people would happen. As I recall, they were great eating
