I am talking about the FULL MOON that is almost here. What does the full moon do to the stripers on Lake Murray. I have a idea, but would like to get everyones thoughts on this subject. I know this is gonna turn into a side show. I already know they turn into werewolves and come back from the dead but I want to know about the biggest diffrence in catching them. Thanks
I have had good mornings after a full moon and I have had bad mornings after a full moon. More bad than good. Heard they basically gorge themselves at night. They can silhouette the bait against the moon and its a buffet. The full moon also scatters the bait which will also scatter the fish making them harder to find. It may take a day or two for everything to group back up. My .02
I have had some of my best nights on full moons, but it seems weather will trump a full moon. I’ve only been out one morning following a full moon and the fish turned on around 10:30 and ended up using 4 dozen baits in 2 hours.
