Bring your hemostats because my experience has been that spottails will deeply swallow a crab pattern to quickly get it back to their crushers in the back of their throat. The take is usually explosive.

I used to live in Napa and fished the upper Sac all the time. The Fly Shop in redding is an incredible store. If you are ever out that way, worth the visit.

I was impressed by the website. Looks asthough they have just about everything.
Looks like a great pattern. It should have no trouble catching the elusive red bass. I will be purchasing some and cant wait to see how their intended target reacts to one on its nose. Permits are the coolest fish.
I’d put some Old Bay on that one spice it up for the reds.
