Way to go lynn
I wanted to post but was busy this weekend , but here is the rest of the story.
I arrived at the ramp , short stay lake moultrie about 1030 fri night all ready to chase some striper with my brother and his 9yr old son. Backed in and went to start. DEAD battery-- done before we started. “Not” lynn was there after having been out and catching a few. We borrowed jumper cables from his friend , i think his name was Bob , thanks bob. We jumped it off and game on, Trolled for awhile thinking everything was cool but put on two many electronics and She died, i’m floating like a log.
called Lynn on dying radio and he reeled in stopped fishing and came right over. We went back to the docksto retrieve jumper cables from bob’s truck. he unelsfishly gave us the keys. Back out to the floating Scintilla again and we attempted to jump it off but no go wasn’t working.so we switched batteries to start it then switched back w/ jumper cables still attached to keep it running and switched them back. I was ready to call it a night and cut my losses. but my nephew by now was sleeping from boredom so my brother and i decided to cut off all electronics and give it a try, Soon we woke him to a screaming reel and he battled boatside his first ever striper. 28in fatty, he was all excited and up for the duration now. Wasn’t long we heard lynn screaming like his boat was on fire-- just kidding but he was makin some serious noise, went over to check it out and saw him dancing with a huge big fat striper… pictured in his post.
I thought to myself This man took time out from fishing to help me and good Karma has come back to him for his unselfish act.
Congrats Lynn on the fish and thank you so much for saving my trip and allowing my young nephew to enjoy the evening , you sir are a great american and super human being. God Bless you
We went on to catch 4 more striper w/ one more keeper, But more important smiles and great stories for a 9yr future sportsman.
thanks to you!
