I suggest you first time saltwater fishing guys head to Haddrells and check with Dee or Scott on tackle.I do not recommend 402 zebco tackle for Redfish.I also think you should attend any seminars they offer.Getting properly rigged is part of becoming a successful angler. You do not have to break the bank to get good tackle.Dee will fix you up with some nice tackle at a good price.A $50 rig will catch fish as good as a $200 rig.The $50 might not last as long but if you keep it clean and lubed it will be around for a long time.Ask questions and keep notes. In a short time you will catch on and do just fine.
Words of wisdom right there! When I started doing more inshore fishing around here Scott and Dee at Haddrells were a wealth of information as were several other hooligans!
