As the effects of Hurricane Matthew wearing off and the salinity levels of the water returning to normal, so is the shrimping. We went out Thursday and set up our poles in front of a nice creek mouth on a falling tide just before sunset. The shrimp were already jumping and we felt like it was going to be a good day. It turns out we were right. In just our first pass we felt as though we would cooler out. Just as we had gotten into a rhythm we noticed dolphins moving their way through our poles. However, these dolphins were much kinder than most and left the last two poles alone. We were able to get home with over half a cooler of medium to large variety shrimp. All in all a great night out. And don’t forget, Palmetto State Armory is still stocked up with Titan fiberglass poles, Bait Binder, cast nets and coolers. We look forward to seeing you soon!
