Would a big gag bite a 10 in bsb on a circle hook with his tail fins trimmed causing him to flounder around??? Would it be legal???

No it would not be legal.

I have heard that they are not good for bait either.

I am not sure if it is legal to use BSB for bait, but I know a guy who told me that they are not al that good as live bait for grouper. I did pull a 10" BSB out of a gag’s belly the other day however…

That is a very nice day you guys had. I don't have nearly as many spots in shallower, but I need to start spending some time looking. We figured that we could pull up at least a few of them out deeper. One of the spots that we anchored up on should have had fish all over it. Greg187 and I dove it a few weeks ago and it was covered with nice gags. Couldn't get a bite off of it this past week though.
