The skinnee for 4-19-2008 (got "covered up")

Decided to head up North (Columbia) today to attend my second wedding shower of the season. Got to the hole a little early and didn’t see much. Then they started coming in the door. Peeked out the window and it was a “parking lot” out there. Then it happened, we got COVERED UP with gifts. We hit them hard and fast and put most of them in the box. Real good teamwork between me and the fiancee. Then we got a few singles and doubles after that and just kind of picked at them. Then we got a slobberknocker at about 4pm. It was a whole set of silver knives (none of them that will fillet though). Thought I was going to have to back down on it for a minute, but we were able to get it to the couch while it was still green. Also, got a daymaker cake carrier and a few pieces of fine china. All in all a good day out there. Wind started to pick up a little in the afternoon and the threat of a thunderstorm so we picked up and headed in. Also, we did see a “man in a blue suit” come up on the short corner, but I don’t think he brought a gift for us. Oh well, we will get him next time!!! Also, had a mystery gift today. Ribbon was frayed about 4 feet up from the bow. Didn’t have a name on the card, but it was probably from “Bill”. Also, we broke off 4 ribbons today.

Saw tuna busting chips in the casserole dish a few times and we worked them pretty good.

Total for the day: 25 gifts (none were released). Not a bad day for just two people. Looking forward to our next one, but hope it’s not on a Saturday.

Daymaker Apron with Emeril Pot and Cake Carrier… Pink and Chartruese on the hot shower bite…

The next time will probably be smaller ones. Mostly pink and blue. That is when you’ll be really hooked. Probably next season though. That time you won’t be quite so happy if it’s double or triples.

you could always register @ West Marine and/or Boaters World

unless they change lines in at SCSSA, you’ll have time to fill out those “thank you’s” during the wait.

to make it full cf.c, you would have to claim the cake carrier to be 45#

but congrats…good luck

if we kill them on monday I will have her bring the apron to the dock and I will clean fish in it and we will post pics. I've been in bed for 2 hours now and can't sleep. why am I checking this website from my phone? tuna insomnia. look it up.

That apron is so you! I’m jealous. Do you need me to show you how to use that Emeril ware?

Dude…

Most interesting report of the year.

I think the CF.com crowd needs to throw skinneej a tackle/boat shower. I am thinking at the dock one day. Lots of beer, some fish, and bring something he will actually use.

There went you season. I did the same thing last year, fished two days. Now I got one of those little blue ribbon things and it ain’t looking too bad for fishing cause the misses seems satisfied and occupied.

Good luck to ya on the pending nuptuals.

Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn’t go so far as to call a dog filthy but they’re definitely dirty. But, a dog’s got personality. Personality goes a long way.

Hilarious Skinnee. Congrats on all the keepers!

Amazing what some guys will do to keep other fisherman off their best piece of bottom.
