Solid performance gents. No Skinnee tangles with the Cajun on board?? This whole work thing during the week really puts a damper on the fishing program…
George Carlin said it best, ‘Think of how stupid the average person is, and then realize that half of them are stupider than that’’.
We only had like 2 all day, but they were managed pretty quickly.
Tell us more about the dive/lobster snatching. What depth? Clarity? Current? Pictures?
We might get some pics off the other camera, but diving was OK. Gags were numerous, yet spooky. They didn't want to let us close at all. I saw a nice red grouper that I could have easily taken, but they aren't much of a challenge, so I let him live. Viz was fairly dismal around 20-25' and current was a little tricky. It was that sloshy kind of current where it moved you in one direction and jerked you back a foot. Water was 73 on the surface, but there was an obvious thermocline about 20' down. Kind of concerning to see a thermocline this early in the year. Also, lobsters are already in their breeding cycle. One of the lobsters we go was NOT berried, but after cleaning had eggs inside of the tail. She would have started laying soon. Why is this a bad thing? Because, we normally don't see this until JULY!!! I fear that we are going to have a warm summer this year and it seems that things are happening too quickly in the wild. I hope I am wrong, but I am expecting the dolphin to be here one day and gone the next.
Hey Skinnee J ,hope you finished the day with Maurice’s BBBQ and Firefly Sweet Tea ! Big Hello to Mrs. Skinnee J.-Mrs. D
DAD
Doc, we save the BBQ for VERY SPECIAL trips. You don't want to take it on every trip or it loses it's magical fish raising abilities. Please say hello to Mrs. D from us as well...
