The skinnee for 8/8/2015

Maiden voyage on the new boat, and first inshore trip for me.

Finally got the new Garmin installed on the new skiff last night around 11pm. No time to put the new trolling motor on, but could have used it.

Took my little neice and nephew to do some scoutung. Caught a few fish but they were small. 4 small redfish and a few pinfish. Did find a real nice red cruising a spot but big motor spooked him.

Oh well. Was a good learning experience for us. And got to see some new areas that we’ve never seen.

Good for you getting the kids out! That is the best part of it, IMO.

Good deal, J. I think most would agree that finding the fish and/or fishy spots is the hardest part, so you’ve already got the inshore game figured out!

Then again, it could just be a case of beginner’s luck…

“I’m not a hundred percent in love with your tone right now…”

And, it’s a heck of a lot easier and cheaper than offshore fishing!

Congrats on the maiden voyage, and nothing breaking.
