The “Trout Trick” is the best plastic i’ve found. After moving to Beaufort three years ago had drifted towards live bait from the artificials we had always used in the ACE Basin. A couple of weeks ago a friend got me re-introduced to them. I believe they outfish live bait. Works on a 1/8 0z ball head jig and also under a popping cork. Check out “fishingwithbob.com” if you can’t find them in stores.

Agreed on the Trout Trick. I am a neophyte angler at best. After following CF.com for awhile and reading the reviews of Trout Trick lures, I was eventually enticed to place an order even though I feared I was falling victim to message board spam. Well this past weekend I tried them out while back country camping on Cumberland Island, GA, and I slayed the trout. I also won the daily wager for most fish and biggest fish among my camping/fishing buddies (partly thanks to my catching a three foot black tip in a cast net in the surf). IT was a ton of fun, and it was the best I have ever eaten while camping!!!

Keep it Awesome!!!
… Are the “Trout Trick” good for trout only or can you catch other species just as well with them? I have only used live/cut bait and a top water torpedo. I’m reluctant to try plastics in saltwater… my freshwater tackle box is worth a small fortune and I’m scared to get caught up in the pocket for saltwater tackle.
Dustin, I just caught my PB Flounder on one. They catch plenty reds too.
