The Ville 9/29

I got out there around 1030, just before low, and was able to get all the shrimp and mullet i would need for the day in three casts. As soon as the water started to come back in i paddled out and managed my first red in less than 8 inches of water. Gotta to love a red hooked in skinny water. They fight like CRAZY!!! I managed two more in the next 15 minutes before getting broke off and realizing i left some tackle in the truck and could not rerig. I paddled back to the truck and got back out there 30 min later, but the fish had moved on. Normally i follow the fish into the grass and I am able to stay on them, but it took me almost two hours to find another group. I got into a few small reds and decided to move on again. It took me another hour of paddling through the grass to find another group, but atleast this time they had better size. I ended the day fishing a cut that forcing bait out on the tide and managed a couple of trout and one undersized flounder before the bugs called the day for me. Other than the morning wind it turned out to be another beautiful day at the ville.
14-15 reds
2 trout
1 flounder
5-6 rays
1 small shark
2 lady fish

The fishing was good; it was the catching that was bad. </font id=“size2”>
