The wind sucks 12/14

Fought the wind every day. I couldn’t find anywhere to get a wind break. Fished 3 spots. Caught 4 or 5 from 8am-1pm. First fish came @ 10:50. Toughest day I’ve had in some time. Found a very large concentration of fish over a decent amount of water but we were pulling boards without weights and fish were suspended deeper. By the time we got weights on our boards, the wind blowing slowing us to a snails pace at time allowed me to hang bottom 3 times, twice breaking the board off and haven’t to circle to chase it down. Fish are moving fast. There were some fish left our second pass but not like the first. We had 3 or 4 keepers, 1 short. Hoping for much better success and a NEW BOAT on Saturday with the better wind conditions. Saw Rick, Liz and Lee @ Lunch and I am sure they did much better than us. Sorry I can’t be of more help for those fishing this weekend.

I heard somewhere the saying, “the wind is your friend” …

I’d like to add to that, “only if you have an anchor or a drift sock” …

True I was in a bad mood within 10 minutes of fishing. I’m an angry fisherman
