There's a Hole in the Malibu

Water is getting into my hull, and I can’t find out where it is coming from.
Anybody have any suggestions as to where to take it?? I’ve never had a leaker before. The boat is coming up on 25 yrs old. I’ve had it since I was 15 and I love the boat, but I’m wondering if it’s worth it to fix.
I have a 50 HP 2 stroke that runs like a top and a nice trailer. I could go buy a skiff, or maybe even an East Cape or Beavertail, but I’d prefer not to spend that money.

I am open to any and all suggestions.

Thanks.

Water gets out the same it gets in. Try putting the hose in the boat and watch for where it comes out.

Couldn’t you put some water in the boat while it is on the trailer and see where it leaks out?

If you ain’t hooked, you ain’t doing it right.

You two boys (MixedNuts and DueSouth) are pretty dang clever. I’ve never had this problem but, I will put this information in my bag of tricks. Hope that works for you fish20.

I bet you have the Malibu Tri-fish right? I had the same problem, two different spots, the first was a small crack in the floor, and also where the seats mount to the floor. I had to cut a hole in the floor and put in a round plastic piece, major pain. I just bought another tri fish, 1986 and switched my motor over.

MN and DS gave you good advice.
