thinkin of a move

Hey guys
Thinkin of moving to Mt Pleasant from the beautiful plywood and blue roof state (Fl), i have a Hobie outback, what are the prospects for fishing in the area, are there good launch sites within reach of Mt Pleasant, how far are you Barf guys? I think getting in with a group like you would be very helpful for a newbie, and Im an artificial guy, will i have to become a bait man?
Thanks for the help and
Tight Lines to ALL!!!

hobie,
there are countless great launch sites within 30 min of Mt. P. You shouldn’t have any problems finding great fishing nearby. When are you moving? Beauford area is about 2 hours- I think. I use bait as well as artificials, Both work well in the area. I’m farely new to this forum and have already been out a few times with cut mullet- I don’t think you’ll have any trouble meeting up with us to fish. Hope to see you soon, <{{>< CR

Thanks Red
Im thinkin Spring, it will take that long to make my house here sellable, roof, etc. Went up durng Wilma for 3 days, and am going back for Thanksgiving to get a better feel for the area

Hey Hobie, best of luck with your efforts down in FL. I’m active duty military and bought in the MT P area. CHAS has many communities that are good options for relocation. I put in my ws tarpon 14’ 5 miles from the house. If I catch an incoming tide, I will use my cast net and bring some live bait along for the paddle. I have been using the electic chickens on the trout with some success. In the MT P area there are several tackle and outfitter shops that will help in getting you set for the local outdoor action. This forum has been very helpful with ideas and opportunites. Be cool. v/r tf
