thinking about trying

I’ve never fished from anything other than a boat and I am considering buying a kayak. I’m thinking about a two seater for my girlfriend to go along. Any ideas on kayaks to try, and can two people even fish in the same boat?

sounds like trouble to me. Maybe buy her a seperate boat?

I have not seen any yaks that look like they can fish two comfortably and hold the gear. I think the one that comes closest is the Native Ultimate 14. Can paddle one or two and may be able to fish two if you are careful.

Wag more. Bark less.

Thanks for the info. I’ve looked at that one and am also considering the Ocean Kayak Malibu 2 XL. Does anyone know anything about Ocean kayaks?

…oh by the way. Quote: “…I’ve never fished from anything other than a boat” technically a Kayak is a boat :slightly_smiling_face:…just alot more fun  Plus with 2, 20 oz gatorades and a kingsize Snickers bar, mine runs all day long

Hey Ivy I have a Malibu2 and its a nice yak but I also own a prowler I fish from both and I can tell you if you are buying it to fish from together dont. I can assure you when the 2 of you start throwing lines out you will find you need more distance between you plus if you really like this girl, get her, her own boat to use. Me and the wife tried just paddling a few times in the malibu2 and she sent me to get my prowler lol.
