Pros and Cons please.
easy deploy
more parts to break
make sure you have the quick disconnect.
80# thrust is not enough for a 20 foot boat with a t-top in heavy current and wind.

There is a MK repair center in Myrtle Beach and when they were helping me with some questions about my riptide the owner (a very nice guy) told me the auto-deploy models are nothing but trouble.
listen to Chris and get the terrova instead of ulterra ( auto deploy). The manual one is pretty easy to put down and less to break.
the early auto deploy units did have alot of issues.
they have upgraded them alot.
they still have more things to break, but they are much better than they were 2 years ago.

Joe, listen to Chris V he will get you the right trolling motor set up and do a great job installing it.
i have the newer version of the Ulterra in the 80lb model. had it for 18 months. It is awesome. I am never going back to manual deploy.
I have the Ulterra. 112lb, 72 inch and love it. Wondered why I waited so long to get it.
The people I know that own an Ulterra and haven’t had any issues out of it think it’s the cat’s meow. The folks I know that owned an Ulterra and had nothing but issues with it (primarily the auto deploy/stow function) replaced them with a Terrova. The list of people I know that had issues with the Ulterra and replaced it with a Terrova is exponentially longer than the list of happy Ulterra owners I know.

Chris and Brian set me up with a 112 Terrova on my 210 Bay Reef. Best thing I ever did for fishing. Their install is clean and they are a pleasure to deal with.
