This sucks

Ya’ll have fun on the 14th. I’ll be laid up in the house due to ACL replacement surgery on aug 27th. Man im dreading this. Not the surgery but there goes my dove season, teal season, shrimpn, and so on. Timing sucks.

Dang man you are kidding. What did you do?

you can still drive the boat and drink beer right? sounds like you need a better partner…seriously though, quick recovery and best of luck…

Sorry to hear that. Been tryin to come up with a shrimp net gun myself to toss the net, that’s a motion my back just does not like anymore. Tried to throw net bout 6 times few weeks back for some bait and spent next few days on couch from it! But I can still drive a boat and head shrimp with the best of em!

Wonder if a net gun is legal for shrimp bating?

Russ…let me know…I love tossing a net and will go be your “gun”. I cast for my daddy and brother in law as they sit back and eat Sandwichs, drink colas and tell me what a great job I’m doing. ;). Haha

Tore the acl and medial meniscus at work back in may. Workers comp has been draging their feet. Shoud have had surgery in late June or early July. If I can get in the boat my partner is willing to do all the casting. He said we would figure it out even if we had to get a third and split the catch three way, but he would rather do all the casting a split it with just me. I think I heard a tear in his eye when I told him the actual date. We both were whoping to have this done two months ago.

Heck, get you a 4’ net and just cast from the console. Make it a one man show.

Workers comp draging their feet, imagine that!!! Good luck with surgery and a speedy recoverment.

  • A bad day fishin’ is better than a good day at work!

need a 3rd or anyone else need a net man, drop me a line. I throw an 8 foot and can open it like a pancake! LOL

I have had one of those for 2 years now. Works great on my 8 foot betts blue. But you have to have a tall enough platform to stretch it out/ hang the net fully. No net in your mouth, stay dry(er) and reasonably quick recovery.

That’s interesting. And Hookem and Cookem…

How does it sink, does it foul the net? It might be something that’d help my wife throw a little better. Anybody sell them locally?

Doesn’t foul the net at all but honestly, I wouldn’t put it on anything larger than an 8 ft net. a 7 would be the best. Net has to hang for device to position itself properly for casting. a taller platform/ dance floor is a real nice arms saver.

Never seen them locally, I ordered mine direct from company. Have also seen them on ebay a time or two…
There is a video on youtube on it.
