Those Pesky April Winds.......

March Wind, April Showere, May Flowers… Well, there better be lots and lots of flowers! Also, a nice pot of redfish gold at the end of that spring raindbow! With the quality winds we have been having lately along with a tough day of fishing here and there, I just wanted to give my game plan for tomorrow and my input. When it’s blowing, I’m not going to be doing a lot of running and gunning. I will stick to a genuinely productive area and thoroughly fish areas close by. Making sure to hit the right tides at the right spots. A lot of blind casting spinner baits(slow rolling them along grass flats/oyster flats) and soaking some crab around structure(docks/oysters/etc…). I’m pretty much just going to key in on one general area of 5 or so spots close by and out of the wind enough to effectively fish them. Here’s to tight lines and a chapped face!

Sounds like a good plan. That works better than throwing a jig into the wind and it coming back to hit you in the face!
