Currently have an older Scout 203 Sportfish. I saw a number of newer improvements with the 210 which included a full size center console compared my current just storage unit.
Anyone have one, ride in one, see anything good or bad?
It looks like they started around 2004 and ended in 2017 for build years.
If you generally like your 202, then you will like the 210 XSF a lot more. It is a foot longer. It does not have an open transom. It draws more water than your boat, but I think the 210 may also have a sharper deadrise angle, so a smoother ride. I know some people had issues with water coming in through the scuppers on the 202. I never experienced that problem on the 210. The console has lots of storage and can easily house a porta-potty. You probably cannot stand up straight inside, but kids could. (I am 5’10" and cannot completely stand up in there). The forward console lounge/coffin box is great. It has tons of storage and puts the forward passengers much closer to the center of gravity of the boat (better than conventional “forward seating” in my view). I also like the full bench seat in the back. It is comfortable and can be removed when fishing. Plenty of space for lots of rode in the anchor locker. Baitwell is adequate for mud minnows, shrimp, finger mullet. You probably won’t keep menhaden or large mullet alive very long in there. For a 21’ boat, it has a good ride (the ride in a head sea can be significantly dialed in with trim tabs). In general, I’d say it doesn’t pound for a 21’ boat (of course, if you launch off a big wave or wake and land on the next one near the stern . . . you’ll definitely feel it.) If you are running in 15 knots or more of a crosswind, you will not get wet but your passengers on the rear bench seat will. Loaded down, mine would cruise at around 30mph at 4000rpm. WOT when loaded is 41-42mph. With only two adults aboard I’ve seen over 46mph at 5600rpm. The boat is extremely fuel efficient with a YamF150.
