I wasnt too smart…
Guess I’ve been pushing too hard…never have felt 100% since the ear and chest cold thing a few weeks back…last week. Worked three twelves and a 16.(night shift) The day it rained so much I had just gotten into bed a t130 pm due to appointment forndonnie when they called at 430 and made it mandatory every one due at 730 come on then… Three people working for 20 patients…tired as heck. Well yesterday we decided to go try the fish/ shrimp around midday…got there and from the first few times I threw my net…I just didn’t feel right…noodle arms…achy…couldn’t keep my feet under me…almost fell several times…thirsty…thirsty thirsty…gulped down 4 waters and a fresco …pulse felt slow…Lightheaded…ate a granola bar…still kept getting worse…headache …legs cramping…then I felt like I had been kicked in the chest…told Donnie…something’s not right…we need to go…Then I felt dizzy…palpitations…could see Donnie’s mouth moving through a haze…couldn’t hear him…next thing I remember halfway clearly was in the ems…Iv …heart monitor…questions…shaking…soaking wet where Donnie had dumped water n me. Lol. Bp was 201/112. Hr was 140. Glucose was 60. TraIn wreck for sure. Got to roper…more tests, fluids, ct scan head…EKG… Ct and EKG fine…and yes I do have a heart and a brain…potassium and sodium real low…realized hadn’t peed in 8 hrs by then… Finally got my bp down after about 5 Hours … Said it was exhaustion/dehydration compounded by low labs and glucose. Bps been back 120s over 60-70s. Hr…70s… And besides feeling tired…achy all over…and cold at times…I feel ok. Donnie says I just

Dang Pen. Slow down just a little and spend some time on yourself. Instead of fishing gear, maybe Donnie can get you one of those Spa Days for your birthday or something.
Oh, and by the way… I was sitting in my chair at the boat ramp when they brought you in. I’ll post some “pictures from The Cut” a little later today.
Kidding about pictures, of course. 
Lol…if Donnie ever…ever…ought me a spa day instead of fishing equipment… Lol. He knows better than that! If only I could fish more and workless!

I was in his shoes a couple of years ago when a friend of mine was with me fishing and he went through something similar to what happened to you. He recovered a little more quickly than you, but it scared the bejesssssus out of me!
