Three PB’s. A trout, a ray and a gull

https://youtu.be/gpz8ewDZ3Ms

Wednesday I was able to get out early with my brother and his family from Kansas City.
We got on a very short top water bite and then I put everyone on soft plastics after spending a little time teaching the kids how to cast the evening before.
I would have liked to have put them on popping corks but I didn’t have bait. I won’t make that mistake again! I spent most of my day getting people unstuck and retrying baits. :weary::laughing::laughing:

Anyway, we made some memories for the kids.

It was pretty cool watching the storms roll over Bulls Bay Golf Course while we are fishing in beautiful weather. We never got wet but we sure got rained on trailering the boat back to Our Steed Creek Fishing cabin at noon.

As per usual, the video is posted to the top

Special license for seagulls?

I have taken 1 of my coworkers fishing twice over the years.
First time he caught a seagull.
Second time caught a pelican.Nothing nice about the pelicans. They’re a lot bigger than you think when you get up close in person. I’m very aggressive.

I am fragile. Not like a flower. But like a bomb.

I have cut the line on a pelican. He must have thought we were checking crab pots or something. He grabbed a dangling “ purple death” z Mann.
I didn’t want to handle that guy!

Hey, if you’re not re-tying, you’re not trying!!

Good job getting the fam on the river, even better that you found a few bites too. Congrats on the PB’s👍 That trout was almost a 20incher!
