Throttle tension ajustment

I have a pair of 03 Optimax 225’s that have been purring pretty good this summer since I replaced the lower ends, tilt pumps, starters, main engine harnesses, numerous thermastats… on and on…

I’m now down to just 1 more issue - The starboard motor when up on plan (3500-4000) will creep down on it’s own to about 3000. I had the cables changed during the pre-buy, and actually swauked it during the sale. I was told that it would correct itself (yea right). Since then I have put 150 hours on that throttle with the same issue… any good advise out there?

does the throttle handle move back or do the rpms just drop down?
