Hit the lake for a couple hours last evening. Fished an hour before dark and then hung it up a little after 9.
Up till dark I picked up 2 decent keepers and 2 shorts. All were caught throwing this 6" yellow Slug-go on a weighted 1/8th, 5/0 hook:

After dark I switched to a rapala. Started out slow, then I hit a little pocket on the side of a point and got another 5 or 6 in about 15 min. All of the were small though, probably in the 18" range.
The ones after dark were caught in less than 10 fow and the ones at dusk were in 15-25 fow.
We had a good time catching bait last night and chumming. We had decent action. Lost a few and boated 6 I think. 3 keepers I think. All fishing done after 9pm. Only had 2 offshore rods with us so we didn’t have the biggest presentation set up. Really nice herring out there right now. Caught a bunch of herring that were equal size to dollar bill gizzards. Nice and ■■■■■■■■■. The bait guys should have some pretty bait right now.
