Thurs

Fished alone today. Put in at Folly and ran way up the Kiawah River and back. Caught 25 trout and 1 redfish, on the falling tide, low, and rising. Hit about 9 different spots before I found them today. Plenty of of 15-16+ inchers today with some shorites and 13-14-inchers mixed in. Redfish was middle of the slot (19-20-ish). All caught on green grub fished slow, mostly on the bottom, and all released to be caught another day, as usual. It was a lot windier than the forcast led me to believe today. The weatherman may need to lay off the marijuana or shrooms or something. I’m flat worn out from fighting that wind today.

Sounds like a great day! Funny, the weathermen up here never seem to get it quite right either.

I agree, D. Easiest job in the world. Well, except for President maybe…

“I’m not a hundred percent in love with your tone right now…”

I seriously think I might get a better wind forecast about half the time by randomly guessing.

Lee how deep were most of your fish?

Thursday, most were in about 12 feet or so. I don’t know the depth exactly because I was estimating by noticing how long it took for my grub to hit bottom. In short, I fished in a deeper hole next to a flat and an oyster and grass bank when the water was down. I figured they had dropped into the hole, and it panned out.

Friday was different. Most of the fish were at another spot in very shallow water, even though the tide was very low. I did still take several at the Thurs deeper spot, though.
