On a spur-of-the-moment decision, I dipped the boat in again on Thursday afternoon and had similar results but reversed the species. Caught around 20 trout–some nice 17-18-inchers–and 4 or 5 lower-slot reds. All were released. All were caught on green grubs grubs on the falling tide (and a little on the rising). The water was clearing up over earlier in the week. The bite was mostly on the drop ranging from a strong, agressive strikes to those ultra-subtle pick-ups that go barely detected. Missed several. Glad to see some fat trout this fall. They were nice and thick Thurs. I think trout like global warming . It’s too bad that I stayed on the hill through most of the fall this year. I’m looking forward to a good December, though, God Willing. Take care, and have a good weekend.
