Don’t throw them in your cooler, they will drink all your beer.
That’s good to know. I’ll have to remember that the next time I am cleaning out the boat and have to explain to my wife why there are so many empty beer cans on the boat.
Anyone else other than murrymaker going out tomorrow? I’m hoping to get out for a few hours after lunch.

I will be out at the crack of dawn trying out the I pilot. Gonna put in at the dam, run across the lake and fish the rocky cove north of jakes. Gotta be back home by 10:30.

Split rings or a snap swivel with a wide gap to allow more action in the spoon. I’ve also found that sometimes they can be stacked up like they were on your sonar but they’re inactive so I try for the reaction bite and “power reel” the spoon straight up through the school or a fast crank, crank, crank…pause…crank, crank, crank, etc. Many times they will jump on it the first crank after the pause.
True that. I will be talking about fishing the heavy metal Tuesday night at the MSC meeting. Favorite spoons, rod and reel setup, and the four different methods I use them will be the focus. Come on out and also bring some of your own favorite metal to show off. Meeting starts at 7. Come out early to the Flight Deck if you plan to eat and socialize. Hope to see and meet some of you in person!
