Decided to check out Ballentine for starters. Day started out great. Had two in the boat and a strike on the float before I even got all five rods out. With all deployed, picked up another fish and strike as we passed through the same area again. Then where did they go? We never hardly saw a fish again. Maybe they all deserted the creek and headed back to the lake. Decided to try some downrodding and picked up another in a 55 foot cut near a point. But that was it. WT started at 70.1 and was at 72+ when we left. So the tally was one each 22, 23, 24, and 25. Not complaining, but it would have been nicer if the fish had spaced themselves out over the duration of our outing. For all practical purposes, the fish disappeared after 0800.
