I wanted to hit a couple flats after work on thursday so armed with the 8wt and Mike’s mud minnow I hit the water. First flat flooded quickly and was loaded with tailers. I got the second fish I saw on the fly and he put up a heck of a battle. My poor casting yesterday cost me countless opportunities as many casts strayed from the target and several headshots were delivered. Heres a few pics.
Some real nice picts there Dan. Thanks for sharing.

He swallowed that like a greedy pig. What is your de-hook technique/tool?
I have some nice foreceps that work great on deep hook-ups
Nice fish Dan. What is he 24-25 inches? A little bigger?

Tommy I made a mark on my rod to measure the fish later but the mark disappeared by the time I got home. I think it was around 27.
The first guide on most 9’ 8wt rods (newer ones at least) is around 30-31"… that puts that fish at about 27" or so… and built like a brick ****house!
