Thursday offshore

Looks like Thursday may be the day for the first trip of the season if the weather holds. Will have a crew made up entirely of my son and his fraternity brothers so should be intersting. Expectations are low but going to try trolling for wahoo and blackfin for a few hours and then bottom fish. Not sure if any of these guys have been off before, but as long as i have plenty of beer should be ok. Will be at Edisto Banks if anyone else is going. BOL. It has been a long winter.

Sounds like a blast. i might try friday, but probably not that far out… may have a few ladies with me for a crew, we’ll see.

I went to edisto banks last week. No luck. Did find warm water about 5 miles north though in case you aren’t having any luck. Good luck and keep the beer cold.

One day makes a huge difference this time of year much less a week. Good luck

report back up here thursday with how the depth/fishing was for bottom fishing, if you don’t mind  I’m still looking to try friday despite weather looking better for thursday.

Frat boys on a boat that have never been offshore before… Make sure your washdown hose is working before you leave the dock…

Going to see if we can find a Wahoo tomorrow

LOL

If anyone ends up doing any nearshore bottom fishing within 20 miles from the jetty tips give or take on friday, let me know if you wanted to buddy boat. a couple of the weather sites indicated a little bit of a breeze on friday, so it may be a check and see day for me.

Thursday is looking like the day to go now weather wise.

… second the wash down being ready!!

Looks like it laid down nicely for the frat boys. Beers prob flowing good by now.

Doesn't take much to upset a frat boy's stomach...
