I am new to kayak fishing and to inshore fishing, I want to fish pawleys island north inlet for flounder what is the best tide/method to fish?
I like fishing around low tideā¦couple hours on either side. As far as flounder fishing - we were up at Murrells Inlet a few weekends ago and it seemed like folks were having luck with mud minnows fished on the bottom.
Get there early before everyone shows up and bounce a jighead/mudminnow or jighead/gulp shrimp right against the rocks on a slower incoming. As people crowd the rocks, move inland and continue to bounce just off the rocks. The area where the rocks stop and the creek cuts left can be really good on either incoming or outgoing. Be careful if you wade. I once had a rod with a live pin fish on completely pulled out of a sand spike and into the water by a 8-9 foot tiger shark (sticky drag). Have seen some big bulls and lemons there as well.
