Noticed on a tide table for a tide station for “Cape Romain 46 miles east of”. My question East of what? Also is this close to the tide station" Cape Romain" just curious because there is a tide difference of 1 hour. Thanks to all.
I may be mistaken but here is my answer. Many tables make their predictions and corrections based on tides from a central or specific location. For SC, it is the Charleston Custom House Wharf. This would account for the 1hr time difference. As for the 46 miles, IDK!
