That tide last night hurt my feelings…saw a couple fish early when the water was low, but then it started getting up above the knee and then the thunderstorms came running in. Not ideal conditions. Plan on hitting a different flat tonight if the rain holds off long enough.

…because everything is a conspiracy!!!

Yeah, the last flood phase two weeks ago was a foot short
and now this week’s phase has been a foot over. Go figure.
Do you think wind is the primary culprit? I have seen wind effect it on some days, but not for the entire week in these cases…

Dream big. Work hard. Wait for the bus.

I’m thinking the rainfall has most to do with it. If you look at the trend, its falling off already (as the rainwater flushes out of the rivers and estuaries). In fact, right this moment I am showing + 0.49’ This morning it was + 1.3’

It’s all about the winds. NE and E winds over a large fetch for the whole week have pushed all the water up. Check the surf report. Surfs up on a long fetch easterly = super flood tides when combined with the normal full moon flood tides. It could rain like no other and tides would be normal on a SW wind and minus on a NW.

its usually the wind but there are also some longer term oscillations in the ocean. i always check the real time gauge at the coops site

he’s pretty white for a fly guy

My tides have been on halucinagens all year. They need to sober up so I can catch a fish.
