Is anybody having any success two hours before and after high tide? Almost all my success is around low tide and in shallow water which is producing the larger number and size of shrimp.
Monday was the only day that I caught some shrimp near the high tide but they were mixed and about 30 to a run. Around low tide they were large and more of them.
we hit it this am about 2 hours before low tide and didn’t have any success. 2 passes and 6 shrimp. We used those shrimp and a few gulp to bring in 13 large reds and 2 trout. We’ll get back to the shrimping next week.
we hit it last friday in the bay and got there about an hour after low tide and did pretty well the first couple passes but as it got deep, it died out pretty quick. ended up with about 1/4 cooler of mostly large.
