Curious on opinions to shrimping the tides or shrimp daylight/dark?

Incoming day or night for me, but many would rather an outgoing. In the areas I used to shrimp I prefered to come back on a high tide in the dark. Don’t forget to play the wind.

Day if water is muddy, night if water is clear. I’ve coolered out more at night than in the day…

I completely agree. Ideally for me, would be a low tide just before or right at dark with very little wind. Second would be incoming tide with muddy/cloudy water during the day.

Follows Freds advice to stay out of trouble

I prefer the daytime as it is much easier to see and safer to run without hitting obstacles. We have done just as good in the daytime as long as the water is good and cloudy. Clear water = NO shrimp. At Bennett’s Point I prefer the outgoing tide but at Bulls Bay I haven’t seen where it really matters.
