Left shem creek at 4:30 and ran towards 226 hole.Put lines in at the ledge at 6:30.Had first fish in the boat within 10 min.Half hour later jumped a nice dolphin off,and not another knock down until around 11.Crew was wanting to take some meat home and for us trolling wasn’t getting it done so I decided to try the grouper.Ended up with 5 scamp and 1 speckle hind along with the usual bottom dwellers.I also caught 3 of those rare snapper we have off our coast.
I do have a question for you grouper experts, exactly what kind of grouper is that in the third pic.?He looked a little different than the others.
1 slinger
1 big blue fish
5 scamp
1 speckle hind
3 ARS
20 B-linners

That is a yellow mouth grouper, and your Kitty Mitchell (Speckled hind) is actually a Graysbe. A speckled Hind is purple with white spots
