An absolute perfect day out there, minus a few afternoon storms and we safely navigated those. Feels like summer… Wake up early, head out with great return clients that have become more like friends, tear up the fish, then head back to dodge an afternoon thunder boomer… We made a couple long runs that paid off today. Starting on the flats, we used live shrimp, from Haddrell’s Point, on carolina rigs and eye strike jig heads. Had some good big bites from the happy redfish, then slowed down. We made the move to heavy dock structure with deeper holes as the tide lowered and soaked live shrimp on eye strike jig heads and carolina rigs. Non stop action from black drum, sheepshead and redfish. The last part of the outgoing and first of the incoming were magic hour on the docks. The key was finding the docks that held water even at the lowest tide and still housed moving water. It was every cast or at least every other cast. Tight lines…
Solid day…thanks for the report!

Great report
Great report, looks like you had a great day on the water.
How do you rig a live shrimp on a eye strike jighead? Used to Carolina rigs, like eye strikes with Zman artificials, never used with live bait. Help appreciated.
I usually pinch the tail off the shrimp, then proceed to hook it as if I were using an artificial shrimp on the jig head.
