Tilt/Trim Fluid....................What Do I Use?

After slowly watching the original TT motor rust away on my 2003 Yamaha 70 TLRB, I thought I’d better doing something before it died on the water. OEM motors were $350+ so I found an aftermarket motor for around $80. I thought I would have to pull the motor to get to the back bolt but found some instructions online that showed how to do it without pulling the motor. It worked like a champ and took me about an 1 hour or so.

Anyway, I lost some TT fluid when I pulled the motor so I need to replenish the reservoir. Can someone tell me what fluid I should use? I have seen people say power steering fluid. What should I really be using if not PS fluid?

I use transmisson fluid in mine.

Or, if deadset on using TT fluid, boat dealers sell it in quart bottles… Expensive to go that route…
