So, I’m finally getting around to replacing the waterpump on my 2003 Yamaha 70 TLR. I tilt the motor up to loosen the screws and they all come loose so I go to lower the motor to drain the lower unit before removing it and it won’t go down. It goes up just fine but will not go back down. Neither the switch on the motor or the switch on the controls (Yamaha 704) will lower the motor, it just clicks loudly when I activate the switch. I replaced the tilt/trim motor about a year ago and everything has worked just fine until now.
I swear you gotta love boats, fix one thing and something else stops working.
Any ideas?
