Time off and lots of fishing

I had 13 days off and fished/crabbed 12 of them which made for a happy …but tired…in a good way :smiley:…girl.

Donnie and I Went fishing with Marshgrass offshore…then spent the next days fishing the harbor, folly, stono ,cooper and intercostal waterway. Throw in a few days of me getting to go crabbing(and fishing/shrimping) with my daddy

…my “wish to fish” was met! We had many adventures thats for sure…including having to call Sea Tow…Big shout out to Anthony and crew:smiley:…for a tow in last thursday when the motor on the little boat just quit:frowning_face:…donnie did a little investigating and found it was a couple wires in the motor to the power pack that had gone bad. guess thats why they call it a “power pack”…cause if its not working…youre not moving!..so we are now up and running again. Took the time to take the big boat out a few times too and it ran great. Left the endangered BSB and Baracuda biting each time we came inshore:imp:

heres a few pics from our days out…and in :smiley:

found my dream house…and yes…i could live happily in this with a boat tied to the little dock

public bathrooms?? :wink::clown_face:

CaptEd…you build this?

tons of tiny shrimp in the creeks and in a few of the holes, but boy are they LITTLE!

found a rod…anyone lose one? tell me where

Livin the dream, Penny, Livin the dream! Glad you had fun, but the worst part of a good vacation like that is having to go back to work.

Yep, thanking the Lord everyday I get to live in such a gorgeous place as this. The mountains are pretty, but the low country really does it for me.

Love your posts.

Thanks, John

X2!! some very nice reds mixed in there too!

“you win some, you lose some…but nothing beats getting some!”

Penny looks like you did what you wanted and had a blast. The fish are the Icing on the Cake, living here is truly wonderful. I’d say Donnie and Roo are plumb wore out this week, and even though they would not say it “glad she went back to work” whewww.

Yep…they are and did. Had a bit of a head butting as Donnie wanted to go off somewhere…while I wanted to stay riiiiight here! Why go spend money to ride and stay somewhere when you can fish? Now had it been to go somewhere else to fish…that would have been different. Will one day ride on a big boat out to the deep blue before I die…I told Donnie that if I don’t …that when he carries my ashes out to sea…I’m going to catch the nearest wind and fly back in his face! Lol

He gets all “will-ied” out when I talk about death…but you know…doing what I do the realization of how quickly life can change quickly becomes a reality. Was talking to my uncle(one of daddy’s brothers ) the other day…preaching at him about going out by himself at 77 …lol and realizing that I’ve heard the same said to me…and he said…“I’ve lived a full life…and what better place to go. If I got to go but out in the creek…”. like my grandpa and one of his brothers…and he is right. I feel the same way. I’m not afraid of dying…just don’t want to suffer or have family see me suffer. Even with its occasional bumps in the road along the way…life has been good to me…and I truly believe there’s more fish in a bigger sea to be seen one day :wink: . Getting older has made me treasure life and family/friends even more…and to learn that each day is a gift…and we don’t always have "tomorrow
"
