Any info on the Robalo 222? Has a 200 on it and was told with the 250 it gives it 5mph on top end speed but is a lot less fuel efficient.
Is it just me, or have some folks once again taken this poster/post hook, line and sinker?
Goodness gracious…
I have a ‘87 16’ Bayliner Cuddy with a '74 Force 65 HP motor on it…
Can I fish this at Georgetown Hole?
Should I consider an upgrade?
Don’t want to sink more than $6700 or so on a new ride if I don’t have to…
I have all pretty new type 2 PFD’s for the crew as well as a cell phone for emergencies, so I’m covered there…

They are just playing around. There has been some crazy questions asked on this site by people who just dont understand offshore.
You have the right idea and a good budget to find what you are looking for. Research how dead rise, entry angle, weight, horsepower, etc. all effect how a boat handles and rides. Bells and whistles are nice but break and become costly. Look at boats from the rub rail down first then worry about the functionality up top. One great example to show is a keywest2300 vs regulator 23. The boats are both in the 23 range but very different in design and price. I have owned alot of boats over the years, including the above mentioned, and went with a heavy weight (9k on the hoof) with alot of deadrise. Super sweet ride but slow.

Has anyone rode on the Tidewater 23’ models?
