Well said Bob! I had to work the Black Bike Week event in Myrtle Beach this weekend. The hotel I was staying at was hosting a Veteran’s Memorial Service and the keynote speaker was a gentleman by the name of Clebe McClary. I had the opportunity to meet and speak with Mr. McClary and when he thanked me for my service as an LEO, I was truly humbled. If you have never heard of Clebe McClary, he is one of Pawley’s Island’s own who served with distinction in Vietnam, having been awarded both a bronze and a silver star. He also lost his left arm and left eye in battle. Former Lt. McClary is a motivational speaker and meeting him reminded me what service and honor are truly all about. Take time to thank a vet today or everyday.
