I just found out my rates are going up another $24.00 next month. :angry:I’ve got TV, internet, and home phone. The internet went up the most, $17.00. They’re blaming TV networks and programming providers for the rate hike. I’d like to know how that affects my internet cost.
I think it’s time for a change from TWC, but don’t know which direction to take. Anyone have any suggestion?

I think that Comcast and Time Warner are now the same,maybe you can call Comcast[if available] in your area and see what kind of deals they have going on.

We have U-verse and are very pleased. They are DSL but we have not noticed any slowdown on the internet and there are PLENTY of cable channels available.

Correction. Comcast submitted an offer to buy Time Warner. They still have quite a few regulatory hurdles to clear before they can actually proceed.

Call Time Warner and ask for another promotional rate. It’s largely accepted that you should never pay full price for cable, especially with bundled service. It doesn’t make the price-hikes right, but it’s really the only option if you want cable TV - it’s a service that’s delivered almost exclusively by legal monopolies across the country.

I got so fed up with TW that I called and told them I would go without Tv, etc… I compared my bill to a co-worker’s. He was actually getting more and paying less. After raising heck and speaking to someone at their Solution Center, they knocked over $40/mo off my bill. It sucks that you have to do that but it seems to be the way of the world now. As for AT&T U-verse, my neighbor has it and they love it…when it works. The AT&T tech has almost become a member of the family he is there so often.

We found out that our Bill for phone, cable, and internet went up over $40.00 a month. Buh Bye TW. I can’t get U-Verse the coverage sucks in my area. (straight from AT&Ts mouth) They said it would be a waste of my money. That is the only reason that I have stuck with them over the years for Cell service.
