Tiny Bucktail & Fox Fur Jigs

A friend of mine back in MD asked for some small jigs to target perch & crappies. He had a picture of some he had found online. These are 1/32 oz molded on a #4 gold Aberdeen hook. The heads are powder painted orange, and I tied them with bucktail & Arctic Fox fur, with a little Polar Flash added to most of them under the hair. I varied the thread color to give him some choices & variety since the pic he showed me had the jigs tied in different thread colors. The bucktail jigs are about 2" long, the fox hair jigs about 1 1/2" long. I think they’ll work well for him.

Arctic Fox fur.

Those white ones need a single red feather in the middle.

Those look very nice big jim. Bet they do good on Northern pike as well.

Great work man!

Are those pics on a pool table by chance?

Thanks! Fred67, I tied them as my friend wanted, so no additional feathers.

Stump, no it’s a sheet of 2 mm thick, hobby/craft foam I lay on a table. I’m not a photographer, but have found when taking pics of flies, lures or anything small, that color background has given me the best results with the camera I have.

Very nice. Would love to try some for yellow perch on Murray. Do you make some to sell?
