Looking for advice on slow trolling nearshore in 30ft-40ft and around the shipping channel in Charleston. Any advice on what water temp, depth, tides, and currents for kings, Cobia, and Spanish would be helpful, also does the north or south side of the jetty’s produce more fish and if so what species?
Use the search function up there^^^, it’s the magnifying glass icon.
Type “Slow Troll” in the top bar
There you will find more info than you can mentally digest before your trip.
Also you can look in the reports section, scroll back thru the years to the dates you are fishing and see what others have done.
then if you have specific questions ask them here for sure, but in the meantime there is a veritable cornucopia of info in the search facilities provided here.
I have had good luck with diving rapala lures when trolling around the jetties. Get some different depths and troll up and down near the jettis as well as around dynamite hole and near the end of the outside of the north jetty.
If you see diving seagulls or popping bait, I would definitely troll through the disturbed bait!
